Over the past 100 years Dobyns-Bennett High School has produced the 2nd winningest football program in the state of Tennessee and the 26th winningest record in the United States. This is the story of that program and its integral part of the culture of Kingsport. The author, David Hoover, a native of Kingsport, has included details of the teams, players, and coaches that have brought honor to the Model City. The enthusiastic support of Dobyns-Bennett football by the citizens has been noted along with the challenges of maintaining success in the future.
